What we do...
The most common question we are asked is "What do you do?" :) Most of what we did in the beginning was behind the scenes; albeit we are hitting the pavement, attending & creating local events. We've been connecting with everyday folks, parents, teachers, executives, kiddos and businesses. We've heard a demand for allies & advocates, especially for inclusion into school, IEP meetings, etc. We have had requests for support of all kinds. We have gifted scooter & wheelchair batteries, air conditioning in triple digit heat, firewood in below freezing weather, weighted blankets, tablets for assistive communication, a sleigh ride & so much more! We wanted to see positive changes in our community and what better way than to be a part of it.
We have not limited ourselves to those with disorders or disabilities. Our community has a plethora of needs. When we began the coat drive we also started a hygeine bank. We accept donations of tablets (used for communication devices), monetary, and more.
Please, feel free to contact us with any questions. :)
Here is a little glimpse at "What we do".
